The arrest of Dr Raymond Dokpesi, the founder of DAAR Communications, owners of African Independent Television (AIT) has been announced.
He was arrested on Friday at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.
The arrest took over after his return to the country from a medical treatment in Dubai.
Sources said he was picked up by security operatives around 4 pm. No reason was however given for his arrest.
AIT confirmed the arrest, saying no reason was given for it.
