Fans of the Super Eagles of Nigeria were disappointed as the team began its quest for a place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations by beating the Squirrels of Benin Republic 2-1 in what was described as a ‘slim win’ at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
To make matters worse, Stephane Sessegnon gave the Squirrels the lead, before Victor Osimhen and Samuel Kalu got a goal each, to give Nigeria maximum points.
Fans have asked the team’s coach Gernot Rohr to correct all the lapses noticed before the Super Eagles’ next encounter.
