The Member of the House of Representatives representing the Federal Constituency of Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State, Honourable Busayo Oluwole Oke has revealed that his victory at his polling unit in Esa Oke is a product of his hardwork and efforts towards bettering and improving the living conditions of the people of his Constituency.
He specifically submitted that his effort of securing several employments for the youths of the ancient Community in the State is a feat his people will never forget.
Speaking after winning his Unit for the PDP with a landslide victory at his polling unit located at the Esa Oke Grammar School in Esa Oke on Saturday, the Rep Member expressed his gratitude as he delivered his unit – EsaOke Ward, Unit 10 to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon. Wole Oke could not contain his joy as he and other supporters of PDP cheered and leaped for joy as the election results were being announced in his unit.
PDP had 441 votes while the closest party which is the All Progressives Congress recorded 131 votes leaving a huge gap of 330 votes.
“I am very happy, that is a product of hardwork, party loyalty, commitment, service to humanity”, he said.
When asked what he feels about the victory at his unit, he said “For now, Esa-Oke Ward, Unit 10 has spoken. We have showed to the whole world that we are of PDP extraction, that’s all for now. Until we get the results of other units, other wards, other local governments, then, we begin to sum it up”.
Honourable Wole Oke further commended the electoral officials, INEC, security agencies and others over the voting process so far, describing it as wonderful and peaceful.
