In recognition of its tremendous efforts in the industry in the year under review, Coca-Cola Nigeria has received Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards (SERAS) in different categories.

The ceremony, which held recently in Lagos, saw the soft drink company earning lots of plaudits in features in the categories such as; Circular Economy -Waste in the City project; The Partnership of the Year in Empowering Collectors Initiative; Gender Equality/Women Empowerment – Catalyst for Change initiative; and the Managing Director, Coca-Cola Nigeria, Alfred Olajide received the CEO of the Year award.

Other awards include Sustainability Professional of the Year award -Amaka Onyemelukwe; Social Enterprise of the Year – Project EQUIP 60,000; and Promotion of Good Health and Wellbeing – Safe Birth Initiative (SBI).

Speaking on behalf of Coca-Cola, Director, Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability, Coca-Cola Company, Amaka Onyemelukwe, said that the company has been a partner with SERAS for a couple of years. And Coca-Cola as an organisation has always walked the talk, as it doesn’t compromise quality. The awards are a testament to the fact Coca-Cola’s various activities and initiatives have been impactful on individuals and communities.

“We at Coca-Cola appreciate SERAS for these recognitions, indeed, we do not take it for granted. I can assure you that these recognitions are a catalyst for us to keep doing more, and to continue raising the bar high. We would not rest on our oars, we shall continue to be a trailblazer.”
