Ajimoko, Olayisade, Ayeni Applaud INEC, Hail Electorate’s Conduct In Ekiti

The Executive Chairman of Oye Local Government, Sunday Ajimoko, Coordinator for Tinubu-Shettima Grassroot Independent Campaign Council for Ekiti State, Prince Akintade Olayisade, alongside the Peoples Democratic Party’s Senatorial candidate, Ekiti North, Prince Funsho Ayeni, have applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission’s conduct at various polling units in Ekiti North, describing the process as seamless.

The astute politicians, who gave the commendation at their respective polling units, equally applauded the electorates’ conduct at the poll.

“We thank God everything have been very peaceful, the conduct and even the security, is excellent, “Ajimoko stated.

Prince Akintade in his words said: “We thank God for mercy and grace. Things are going on smoothly. As you can see, no hanky panky, no violence, no acrimony. People are exercising their civic rights reasonably.

“They (INEC) have improved tremendously. If we are going like this, we will get there. We will get to where we are supposed to be. They have improved tremendously, and I appreciate them. I applaud the leadership of INEC. I appreciate all the INEC staff for what they have been doing, especially on this issue of BVAS.”

Ayeni also commented on the election saying, “Generally, INEC’s process is fair enough. I think they (INEC staff) are well prepared and I can see the materials actually arrived on time. I will give them 7 over 10, in terms of preparation.”

Ayeni, further revealed how some members of his party were whisked away by unknown armed men.

“Some of our members were being picked by unknown armed men. One was picked right in my polling unit, her name is Mrs Olaboyede, at about 12 noon. Another person called Afolabi was picked at ward 6 at about the same time. We don’t know their whereabout at this moment.”
