The Olubadan of Ibadanland, HIM, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has been congratulated by the Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland, Arc. (Dr.) Hassan Giwa, following his appointment as Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs.
Asiwaju Adini, in a statement signed and made available to journalists on Saturday, described the Olubadan’s appointment as well-deserved, which he said will bring more recognition to the exalted throne.
Arc. Giwa, who is the founder of the Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, said that Oba Rashidi Ladoja’s wealth of experience is what the Council needed to ensure stability and progress in the traditional system of the state.
The All Progressives Congress Lagelu State House of Assembly aspirant called on other traditional rulers in the state to support Oba Ladoja to reposition the Council for the benefit of all and sundry.
Giwa also implored all Ibadan High Chiefs, senior chiefs, and mogajis to rally support for the revered monarch to enable him to deliver on the mandate assigned to him.
Congratulations to the Olubadan of Ibadan, HIM, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on his appointment as the Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs. There is no doubt that Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience will play a vital role in re-establishing the Council.
I will only call for genuine support for the Olubadan from other traditional rulers who are members of the Council, as well as High Chiefs, senior chiefs, and mogajis from Ibadan, to enable the monarch to change the narrative in the traditional system to a positive one.
Oba Rashidi Ladoja was appointed Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs and he is to serve a two-year term effective from last Thursday.
