Nigeria international, Samuel Chukwueze delivered a statement performance for AC Milan as Ruben Amorim’s side overturned two separate deficits to defeat Manchester United 4-2 in their final pre-season friendly in Wrocław, Poland, on Saturday.
One goal, two assists and a starring role in a 4-2 comeback, Chukwueze certainly made his mark.
Lead
United needed only two minutes to take the lead, with Harry Maguire heading home from Bruno Fernandes’ corner. Milan gradually took control, and Chukwueze brought them level in the 37th minute after being picked out by Gonçalo Ramos.

Alphadjo Cissé equalised in the 57th minute before Ramos completed the turnaround by putting the Italian side ahead in the 68th. Ruben Loftus-Cheek then added a fourth three minutes later to seal the victory.
Missed Penalty
United also missed an opportunity to regain control earlier in the game when goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani saved Fernandes’ penalty.
The result gives Milan a major boost heading into the new campaign, while it ends United’s pre-season on a disappointing note. The fixture also provided an emotional subplot for Amorim, who faced the club he previously managed.
For Chukwueze, meanwhile, the performance could prove particularly important as he looks to establish himself under Amorim. His direct running, creativity and involvement in three goals offered an early indication of the attacking influence he can provide.
