The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Ademola Akeem Ige has stressed the need for people in position of authority to assist the less privileged, stressing that his mission as a politician is to alleviate the suffering of the people in the society.

Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige disclosed this during the financial empowerment programme he organised for about 200 people in his constituency area.

The beneficiaries which included members of his political party, Accord, traders and artisans from major markets in his constituency like Adegoke Adelabu Market, Orita Challenge, Owode Market, Academy, Ile Tuntun Market, Itesiwaju Market, Sanyo and others gathered at the Christ Church Primary School’s field, Odinjo, Ibadan for the programme.

Hon. Ademola Ige also used the occasion to distribute Sallah gifts like food stuff and money to Muslim faithful.

Hon. Ige explained that the gesture was aimed at giving back to the people for their steadfastness, support, prayer and confidence they reposted in him during the last election, stressing that he would fulfill all his electoral promises.

While felicitating with Muslims on this year’ Eid-El-Fitri, he urged leaders at all levels to imbibe the spirit of sharing in the burdens of others in order to make them live a better life.

Some of the beneficiaries commended Hon Ige for his gesture and promised their overwhelming support for his ambition come 2019.
