The extension of the tenures of local government and Local Council Development Area (LCDA) caretaker committee members in Oyo state has been said to be a right step taken by the State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Making the commendation in Ibadan, a member of the newly inaugurated Hospital Management Board, Mr. Bayo Eesuola, said that the step taken is one of the best ways to tackle plot by members of the opposition parties to team up, against the ruling All Progressive Congress in the state.
Mr. Bayo Eesuola from Ona-Ara Local Government said, extension of the tenures of the caretaker chairmen is good and timely and will nail the merger plan of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Accord and others.
He stressed that the proposed merger or reconciliation of the main opposition Party, Peoples Democratic Party and the Accord has already failed, because parties in the alliance are not compatible .
He added that the proposed marriage of the parties in the opposition group is not a threat and cannot be a threat to the ruling APC in the state and country at large.
He affirmed that the people of Oyo state have been enjoying peace and security of lives and properties in the last six years that APC has been in government in the state.
He stressed that people of the state will continue to enjoy more peace, security of life and progress if there is continuity with APC in government in the state.
He urged people of the state to shine their eyes in the next political dispensation and team up with APC for much more better welfare.
