In fulfillment of his organization’s Community Social Responsibility, the Chief Executive Officer of Bikers Academy, Ibadan, Mr. Gbolahan Lateef Olayiwola, has extended his kind gesture to the Care People Motherless Babies Home.

The event which took off at Challenge, Ibadan was held at the Care People Motherless Babies Home, KM 15, Ibadan-Lagos Expressway on Saturday, March 14th, 2020.

Mr. Olayiwola, a Chattered Accountant, disclosed that the initiative is part of the organization’s social responsibility to give back to the people and the community.

According to him, “I think life is all about love and care, we can’t be doing this risky things without thinking about the less privileged. So, we thought about it, it is a calling and it is part of CSR for this organization this year, that we need to give back to the less privileged, that is all about the whole idea. We want to show love, we want to show the Care.”

Olayiwola revealed that the objective of the organization is to reduce the cases of motorcycle accident to the barest minimum in Oyo State and the country as a whole.

“The whole essence is to produce more professional riders who will ride motor bike and get more people to join us in this course.

“We have been doing a lot of advocacy, trying to educate riders about safety and we have trying to talk to government to find a way to look at our roads, fix them, put them in order so that we can have lesser cases of motorcycle accidents,” the Bikers Academy’s CEO said.

Mr. Olayiwola noted that the idea is to make the programme a continuous exercise, starting that the organization will reach out to other bikers’ clubs within and outside Ibadan to see CSR as a key part of their organizational goal.

“We are trying to make it a network so that it will not be our organization alone, other organizations can also fall in place with their bikes to show love and give back to the society.

President and Founder of the Care People Motherless Babies Home, Rev. Paul Tunde Tioluwani, in his thank-you message, appreciated the kind gesture of the Bikers Academy, emphasizing that it was a privilege to count the home worthy out of the numerous that are in existence in Ibadan.

While advising well-meaning individuals in the society on the importance of giving to the poor, Rev. Tioluwani, Lesekese as he is fondly called, stated that it is mandatory for rich people to have a budget for the poor.

“I have said it before and I am going to reiterate it now that, be you a pastor, a Christian or a leader out there, if you don’t have budget for the poor forget about heaven. Heaven is not for you. Because the first assignment God gave to Jesus coming to earth, Jesus landed with five mandates, He said the spirit of God is upon me and He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, that is the very first  assignment.

“That is to say once you land on earth the first set of people you must have time for are the poor people. So, poor people are very prime in the heart of the most high God.  Anything you are doing whether you are running an organization, a church or a parastatal, you must have programmes for the poor like what the bikers did today, they said it is a CSR to the society, so you should have a programme for the poor, anyone without a programme for the poor should forget about heaven,” Rev. Tioluwani said.

Among the bikers is the former Station Manager, 32 FM radio station, Tony Rowland Awobode, who is also a Special Marshal, Bike Unit, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

He also expressed his happiness about the programme, expressing what the bikers association has been doing in Ibadan to assist the road safety corps.

Part of the highlights of the event was the ride given to the children at the home for them to have good memory of the event.
