Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State joined other great Nigerians to send warm felicitations to Chief Olajide Oyewole, the Otun of Igbajo and former Chairman of DHL Nigeria, when he turned 90 on Monday.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, the governor said it was his pleasure to join family members, friends and associates of the nanogenarian to felicitate him.
He applauded Chief Oyewole for his selflessness and commitment to the development of the State in particular and humanity as a whole.
Governor Oyetola, who described Chief Oyewole as an illustrious son of Osun noted that “his life is a great inspiration and encouragement to all”.
“On behalf of the Government and good people of Osun, I join family members, friends and associates to felicitate Chief Olajide Oyewole on the occasion of his 90th birthday, and to thank God for letting him reach this milestone.
“I thank God for blessing you with long life and good health as we all continue to glean from your wealth of knowledge and experience. Your attributes are worth emulating and your life is a great inspiration and encouragement to all. You have indeed become a reference point of selfless service.
“Your passion for service and humanity cannot be quantified. Even at your old age, you have continued to serve your community of Igbajo, the State and humanity in general.
“Baba, you have built a legacy that posterity can boast of and I pray that God will grant you the needed strength in long life and good health. Amen”, he added.
