In his own way of giving back to the society and assisting the underprivileged, former Senior Special Assistant to Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Honourable Biyi Adeshina has given out millions of naira in cash and food items to over thirty indigent people in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
The event which took place at Iyana Adeoyo area of Ibadan attracted many residents of the state.
The Manchester based entrepreneur stated in his remarks that he needs to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged believing that it is important to identify with the downtrodden while maintaining that the near annihilation of the middle class in the country made it extremely hard for those in the poverty line to have a reasonable living.
He further mentioned that those who are better placed in the society did little or near nothing to lift the masses out of the conundrums in which the poor governance by the current administration has put them while urging the elite to imbibe the culture of sharing in order to eradicate some social vices.
Appreciating, some of the beneficiaries poured encomiums on the donor and prayed for his continuous well-being while urging wealthy Nigerians to emulate him
The distribution was carried out based on the six geopolitical zones of Oyo State, the beneficiaries got food items ranging from cartons of noodles, rice, pack of wheat, spaghetti, vegetable oil, salt and cash among others.
