Water is life as we all know; it is very important for our survival on earth. To keep fit and maintain good health, we need to stay hydrated always – that is, drinking enough water. Staying hydrated each day is very crucial for our survival, not only does it help us to keep fit, it also helps to keep and maintain a perfect body system.

It is important to note that we get exhausted from daily activities and exercises, the only and best way to maximize physical performance is to get hydrated by taking enough water or at least sugar free drinks. Staying dehydrated during intense exercise can reduce motivation and lead to fatigue, which further prevents us from working effectively and efficiently.

The human brain also functions properly when we stay hydrated, it has significant effect on our energy level and brain function. Dehydration has negative effects on our energy level, mood and also lead to reduction in memory and brain loss. It should be noted that drinking enough water helps to reduce anxiety, stress and emotional pain. Water is an energy booster and kick against negative effect on the body and mind. It also keeps the mind at alert regularly and energized at all times.

Also, drinking enough water helps to regulate our body temperature as heat in the body increases when there is low water or inadequate water in the body system, it protects us from infections and helps our sleeping habit. Research has it that staying hydrated also helps in preventing kidney stones which grow in the kidney as flushing little water through the kidney can lead to kidney stone problem. This issue leads to chronic kidney disease and kidney failure, but taking in enough water can actually prevent kidney crisis. As water helps in regulation of the body temperature, it also helps in regulation of our blood pressure.

Taking enough water also aids proper digestion and helps the digestive system as it dilutes stomach acid. It is also important for proper intestinal function for without adequate supply of water, there will not be proper breakdown of food and food waste will not be transported properly. This leads to increased acid concentration in the stomach and other intestinal problems such as gastric problem (heartburn, constipation and ulcers).

It should, however, be noted that the benefits of staying hydrated can never be over emphasized as water is important for survival.
