The Nigeria International Book Fair, scheduled to take place from the 10th to the 13th of May, 2023, promises to be an exciting event with the presence of distinguished guests such as Dr Adamu Adamu, Honourable Minister of Education, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Hamid Bobboyi, the Executive Secretary of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Library of Nigeria (NLN), Arc. The theme for this year’s event, “The Role of a Functional National Book Policy in the African Book Ecosystem,” is a crucial topic, given the current state of book policies in Africa. The distinguished guests will undoubtedly share their thoughts and ideas on the importance of a functional book policy and how it can improve the book ecosystem in Nigeria and Africa at large.
