The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has urged Nigerians to be problem solvers and solution providers, not critics, especially as the country is facing a lot of challenges.
The South-East Zonal Director, Theresa Maduekwe, made the call during her recent visit to the Anambra office of the agency in Awka.
She advised the staff of the agency to make his job easy by being committed to their duty, warning that she would not tolerate any form of laxity from them.
Appreciating the Director-General of the agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu for finding her worthy to work with him as the Zonal Director, Maduekwe called for collaborative effort among the staff for the holistic development of the agency.
She regretted the nation’s current challenges but expressed joy that the people of the Southeast are known all over the world for their rich cultural heritage and their entrepreneurial spirit.
She underscored the need for Nigerians to take up ownership of the all-round development of the country, insisting that no political ambition is worth the corporate unity of the nation.
“No need to castigate or kill ourselves because of political positions, let us see the national values charter of the federal government as our guiding principle,” the director warns Nigerians.
She enjoined the staff of the agency in Anambra State to bring to bear the Nigerian identity project, which she said made Nigerians what they are, describing the 7-7 national value charter as the key for concrete development of the nation.
“You should not fail in the area of duty of care and tolerance, intensify campaign on dangers of scooping fuel from a fallen tanker by uninformed Nigerians,” she hinted.
Earlier, Anambra State Director of the Agency, Barr. Lady Ifeoma Chijioke, congratulated the Zonal Director on her new appointment, describing it as well deserved.
She described the elevation of Mrs. Maduekwe to the strategic position as a clear testament to her resilience, professional excellence, administrative competence, and, above all, her unwavering commitment to the ideal of the agency and Nigeria at large.
