Olubadan Adetunji Loses Mother-In-Law

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji is bereaved. He has just lost his 97 year-old mother-in-law, Alhaja Abibat Baoku.

Alhaja Baoku died in the early hours of Sunday at her College Crescent, Ibadan home.

Until her death, she was a renowned trader and wife of First Republic politician, Chief R. S. B Baoku.

Alhaja Abibat Baoku, according to Adeola Oloko, the Palace Spokesman in a statement, is survived by children, grand children and great grand children.

Among her surviving children are Messer Muniru Baoku, Olori Rasheedat Alolade Baoku and Mr. Ganiyu Baoku.

She will be buried according to Islamic rites at 4.00 pm on Monday at her home.
