As part of efforts to generate more revenue for the state and ease collection, a forum of Mobile Advert Consultants in Oyo State have launched a new revenue collection document called ‘Consolidated Emblem’

PMParrot gathered that the new emblem was launched at a well attended programme in Ibadan on Friday.

The new emblem is aimed at consolidating all receipts on mobile adverts into a document towards preventing multiple receipts and revenue collection.

Mr Olufemi Alexins, Manager, First Peckers, said the initiative was aimed at curbing the issuance of multiple receipts, documents and revenue collection.

He said that the consolidated emblem would bring rewards than the previous arrangements, appreciating Gov. Abiola Ajimobi for approving the new emblem.

“Earlier, the process is not well coordinated which has led to multiple collection of receipts and revenue. This new emblem will curb that and ensure proper accountability.

“I believe the parties involved in the scheme, including the state government will benefit from this new initiative,” he said.

Alexins urged members to work together to ensure the success of the newly launched emblem, saying its success would ensure the institutionalization.

Similarly, Prince Kennedy Okojie, a leader of the forum, said that the newly launched initiative would make the state government and the marketers smile.

“We have been using the earlier style for 20 years without much success. Today, we have just launched a new emblem towards achieving better results.

“I am very sure that the new emblem will address the various issues, check leakages and ensure accountability. It will favour government and other parties involved in terms of profit and revenue generation,” he said.

Okojie said that the mobile advert consultants and marketers are now under one umbrella, which was part of effort to further strengthen the revenue collection process.

The event was attended by members from across the 33 local governments in the state.
